  My heart goes out to you, first for your medical problems, and then having to experience such ignorant, hurtful, slanderous talk. I agree, you did the right thing to go to the source. Bravo for you for standing up for yourself!!

  What this Witness displayed, to me is really much the same as what the "organization" does.....trying to micro-manage people's lives, often without fully considering the facts. Sadly, so many Witnesses are so blind as to how they inject their own personal views and likes/dislikes into what they say about others.....SHEEEEEESH!

  After hearing from you what had been said, did the "elder" put his wife in her place? Just wondering, as I would think it fits the Witness's definition of slander, a serious offense.

  I'm not sure as I didn't stick around. From the look on his face, he had no idea that she had been saying this. And seeing as I didn't get The Phone Call afterwards, perhaps they realize that she could get into alot of trouble for gossiping and slander. Hubby might even have to step down if he can't keep his wife under control. Although I doubt they'd do anything that drastic over a slacker like mwa.

  Seeing as I have such a knack for getting even with people who have pissed me off, I do believe this sister's name and home phone number are due to be advertised in a porno magazine. Something like:

  "Church Minister's sexually frustrated wife is looking for dominate males/females for spanking sessions and oral sex. Call me anytime at: XXX-XXX-XXXX.

  Maybe I'll include their email address too. heh-heh-heh-heh........

  That's why these type of slanderers and gossipers keep doing this kind of thing. They never get slammed for their "flapping mouths". Maybe this will cool her tongue for awhile, not only about you but also about a good many others that she keeps shooting her mouth off about.

  Somtimes the only good thing to do with a "flapping-tongue" is get a rope on it.

  And here I thought my wifes shredding a new potholder in the garbage disposal on Sunday would be news.

  Anyway, we all know that gossip can be such a harmful thing.

  After others find out about the matter, a letter to the CO may be the approach to take .... do I smell "stumbled" here ?

  Your story does not suprise me; get free of they're lies, they're bullshit, they're pharisitical attitude, then you can drive by them while they are finding "sheep" and give that bitch the finger, and spit on her.

  My advice is to leave that shit not tomorrow, but NOW. Don't ever go back.

  good work mary; only you should have done it at the hall for all to see. yes once you stand up to them they wilt like a dead flower. a few months ago i went to my mothers apt building , and waiting for the elevator was 3 jw's and some other niehbors, i was teaseing the jw's about some false teachings, so one said oh john long time no see, i guess you finally got out of prison! some of the other niehbors looked on with shock. i ask the jw who told you i was in jail. she said it was common knowledge. when i got to moms apt. i told her what happened , mom dragged me up to the book study . banged on the door and started blasting some 20 jw's sitting there. mom even told the lady if she ever hears her or any other jw's lie about her kids again she will kick their ass. it was nice to see them humbled. they all sat there like zombies that they are. john
