Regarding Paul, remember how women were treated in his day. The Jewish practice was to not even allow women with men during worship. In Paul?s day, his views would seem radical, in support of women.

Welcome, I am fairly new hear but find this site very helpful and healing actually. I'm actually at school right now but I probably devote an hour a day to just browsing this sight. I must be careful because sometimes I ignore my studies so I can spend time here. I would love to be in New Zealand, can I come visit?

ThiChi it was not only in Pauls day the women were seperated.I attended a Mennonite church( to speak) & the women sat on one side the men on the other. They invited me back to lunch ( all the elders & wives) They asked me what I thought of the sevice -I told them I was upset with the seperation. their reply was ."Well it stops temptation- if couples sit together-they will hold hand- put arms around each other- so they are not listening to the message" MY reply was "that is rubbish- Even if you seperate them- if a guy/gal looks across the aisle's & sees a "turn on" it will be just as Jesus said even if you LOOK at a women with passion it is adultery Math 5:28.... "I cant understand why they never invited me back........LOL:)
