(((((((Nikita), and family and cats and dogs....)))))))) at least you're all safe.
I hope it dos'nt take too long for the insurance to sort everything out-you should be able to book yourself in to a nice hotel ( maybe a 5 * with jacuzzi and pool and room service...) or rented house, if being with the in-laws is a problem; with the insurers permission- check your policy...they should pay for boarding for the cats too.((((Hope you're not too shocked.))))

I am glad to hear that you are all safe.....Your house and such can be replaced.....I know what it is like to have a fire....We had one about 8 years ago and it was very scarry..my children were young and we lost everything...( we had no insurance though)...Hopefully you have your pictures, they were one thing I really was upset about losing....( and my childrens "first" things they had when they were babies )..You are a big hero to have saved everyones life and your animals....I hope your cats are doing well ( those animals are like our babies)....Take care Nikita, and before you know it, you will be back in your home....
((((hugs))))

Edited to had .....always make sure your batteries are in your smoke detectors.....They do save lives...
Poor Nikita!!!!!!!!!
Her experience does bring up a valid point: what does insurance provide for if the situation happened to you?
I don't have inlaws or someone to take us in. Would my insurance provide alternate living arrangements? Paying the mortgage and renting a hotel would be astronomical!
Gee Nikita I'm real sorry to hear this, thank god you are ok, fires move fast and furious. Hope you manage to get everything back, thinking of you (((( N)))) :(

I'm so sorry about your house fire and tooth ache. Try to keep positive. I believe that everything happens for a reason.

((((((Nikita))))))) I am so glad to hear you are safe despite your misfortune!
How about a Baileys and cream milkshake!? It'll be easy on your mouth, and will ease some of the stress, too!
I have recently learned that dryer fires are rather common -- the lint builds up under the dryer itself (even if you are careful about removing lint from the screen after each load), and can ignite when the motor gets hot. So it's smart to sweep or vacuum under the dryer periodically. Perhaps your experience will be a good warning to the rest of us to get sweeping!
I, too, have had experience with insurance co's after a grease fire caused extensive smoke damage. They sent in a crew to wash all the walls, clean the carpets, they paid for dry cleaning draperies and clothing. And this was a fire that was contained, with no call to the fire department necessary!!! I'm sure if you have a decent policy, everything will be put right and then some.
Please keep us posted (or Funchback can). Take care.
