If your sole reason for not doing something was "the org said so" then I'd say you're in trouble. But I think *most* people have at least enough of an inkling of consequences and such to know what they do or do not want to get involved in. There is a bit of a rebel factor though. I much prefer passive rebellion. Nothing like practicing yoga and reading fantasy books full of mages.

I did go a bit wild when I first left the org....flexed my wings, so to speak...I feel like I have leveled out now, a good mix of wild child, evil woman and madonna...not necessarily in that order

I definitely have boundaries for myself. The interesting part was taking a few years to figure out where they were rather than simply accepting boundaries that had been defined by others for me as a JW.

Lee----I would think that this must be the most difficult thing to do----to no longer look at the Society for THEIR rules. It takes time.

I believe that my boundaries have changed but so have I...........I would not go back to pre JW days and start that up again but my thinking is not so judgmental nor black and white. I know that I am not a "can't have sex unless you're married" person anymore ...........

It seems sexual boundaries aren't in the same place as when we were JWs.
