Jehovah`s Witnesses have never and will never be charitable to the world and why would they ?
They believe the world lies in the power of the wicked one Satan the Devil so if they support the world in any way they are supporting Satan the Devil .
True, but it doesnt excuse their not even being charitable to their own. I remember reading about the pioneer sisters Chook mentioned, i believe they were trapped in new york due to weather conditions, their hotel had double booked them and they could find nowhere to lay their heads. Bethel turned them away despite many buildings snd spare rooms.

To a hungry homeless person, "Would you like a tasty Watchtower sandwich or a nice hot cup of Awake coffee and here are a bunch of Memorial invites to help to keep you warm. Don't forget that the end is just around the corner."

They are feeding the poor with their spiritual bounty. They seriously believe this.

If they ever would, it would only be if Watchtower can benefit in some way, shape or form. Like a good PR. And even then, it would be the exception, not the rule.

If you mean, by extension, that Rutherford was "Bethel," he did feed the poor, starving brothers in Germany, I believe, during a convention. He provided hot dogs and potato salad, as I recall.
So much I don't remember, like the exact time and location. I wasn't there . . .
Jesus fed the masses with fish, JFR, hot dogs.

If you encourage the R&F to give all their cash to those in need they won't have any spare to give to WT. Its not rocket science.
Didn't Jesus say ' as much as you've ( fed/clothed) my little ones you've done it for me'.
On a similar but slightly tangential point. They don't even provide a hot drink free or otherwise at the circuit assemblies in UK which I think is disgusting yet those in don't care.

According to their vow of poverty they sign bethelites are the poor and they feed themselves very well, starting from the top I'd say by the size of some of the GB members.
It's called trickle down food distribution.

Listen, this is a religious cult whos roots are based in charlatanism. A group that peddled door to door, under the guise of fulfilling scripture, their own printed books and literature for a profit, and with free labor.
This is a group that sold regular bushels of wheat from Bethel, claiming it was "miracle wheat", and at $16 bucks a bushel, when the going rate was around a $1 per bushel.
This is a group of charlatans that switched from a publishing company who peddled their own made up lies, to a real estate company that sells the very buildings they use for worship, right out from underneath those same worshipers who paid for them.
This is a group that systematically used and still uses free slave labor from its own blind followers, for financial gain. Then once they have used them up, throws them out into the very world that they condemned, and to fend for themselves without an ounce of help.
Meanwhile, the leaders of this group build for themselves a palace and opulent compound for THEMSELVES ONLY.
No, this group does NOT do charitable work for the poor. Instead they actually USE and ABUSE their own members. That's truly who these people are, and have ALWAYS been too, from the very beginning.
You will know my followers by their fruits. That's what Jesus said. Well, the WTBS has had nothing but rotten, disgusting, fruit full of worms and lies. Time to cut down the evil tree.
