I really find the wts' answer quite interesting. It's a simple answer to make the R&F go ok, no big deal. They also claimed that the original documents they signed to join as an NGO didn't contain any statements that contradicted the teachings of the JWs. However, any NGO that wishes to be affiliated with the UN must support the principles contained in the UN charter, and distribute information to the public about the UN.

I could almost understand it if they had to do a legal move and join but, their admission to guilt was their quietly withdrawing from the UN without an explanation IMO
