After reading shotgun's lovely meeting with his two helpful elders, I was inspired to go back and look at the time when i had the pleasure to meet with the elders.
It was a wonderful experience to observe first hand their stellar ability to reason on matters, to mask their investigations with "We missed you at the meeting, and to just be so damn condecsending.
Man I'm glad I saved so many of my meetings with them on my computer.
Here's a jewel, right from the horses mouth. An email correspondence between me and my window salesman elder, Tom.
Enjoy.

Sorry we missed you last night. Your wife said you had to work to get some project done, I hope you were successful. Anyway I hope all is going well. I received your [phone] message and it would be better if you could buy out some time to meet personally with us. I was hoping we could do it this weekend some time. Maybe Sunday after the meeting??
Let me know.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,
>it would be better if you could buy out some time to meet personally with us
It would be better for me if you would just write down the scriptures that answered my question RE: 607 vs. 587 with brief comments so that I can review this information on my own time. I am swamped right now, and I don't have the time to meet together personally.
Thx,
Paul

Paul,
I know your busy, infact were all very busy. But wouldn't you agree we can't be too busy for the more important things?
Their is more to our meeting than helping you with your questions, we have been assigned to talk to you. I can't stress enough the importance for you to buy out some time in the near future to meet with us.
You have to admit, as humans, no matter how busy we are, we find the time to do the things we want to do.
We would only hope that you would want to meet with us.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
I have to leave at 5:00, so I?m already late, so I have to make this short...
>Their is more to our meeting than helping you with your questions
Maybe you should help me out with my question before we move onto another subject that you have Q's on. Answer my Q's first with the bible, and then I?ll see how I can help you with your Q's for me.
Besides, if you have Q's for me, it would be good for you to disclose the nature of this meeting to me ahead of time so that I can be better prepared to help you out.
>we have been assigned to talk to you
Who assigned you?
Why have you been assigned to talk to me about these Q's?
When was this decided?
>You have to admit, as humans, no matter how busy we are, we find the time to do the things we want to do.
I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I'm so surprised that you haven't answered my two simple Q's from the bible yet. It's been almost two weeks now, and yet no answer for me. It would take all of five minutes to type the scriptures in an email with some comments to follow. The fact that you haven't done this yet is telling me that you really don't want to help me out with my two questions. That troubles me.
>We would only hope that you would want to meet with us.
Tom, I'd love to, but Sunday I have two appointments after the meeting. I could have skipped the meeting and done them in the morning, but I made them for after the meeting because I feel it is important for me and my wife to get to the meetings as much as possible. After that, I have to revise two sets of plans based on that meeting.
I am working two jobs right, so time is really tight. And as you know, the fall is a mad rush for everyone to get plans and bids in before the frost is in the ground.
>I look forward to hearing from you.
As I do as well. It's been two weeks since I asked for answers to the two initial Q's. We talked about 607 for over two years in the Daniel book, and both of the Isaiah books. It should be really easy for you to take five minutes to type up the answers that I was looking for.
>we find the time to do the things we want to do
I hope that you want to help me out with these Q's.
Like you said, I?m sure that you'll find the time for what is important to you.
Thx,
Paul
