  Any one know why this is true? Were most of them in oil or something? Could it be that us Southerners just spent it all on beer?

  I can't answer your question, Ken, but I can take myself on a little trip down to Germany to see if Karl Albrecht (84) or Theo Albrecht (81) would like the company of a 28 year old english Sirona to spend all their money on.... LOL

  Rich people live wherever they want to. They have jets and suchlike to get to work. Doesn't mean that is where they made their money. Rich people are out west because that is where the best real estate is.

  The list also states that

  "As usual, older, married men dominate the list".. with the average billionaire's age is 64.

  Out of the 587 on the list only 53 were women and 24 single persons.

  Actually shotgun this morning paper did refer to them as Waltons Mountain

  "The waltons tied for 6th place, with each worth an estimated 20 billion..making for a Walton's mountain of money that is bigger than the holdings of Gates and Buffett combined."
