This is an interesting subject--thanks Dim.
I left three whole years ago. The first year I was practically obssessed about it, read a lot of material, participated in most of the WT-related subjects.
The 2nd year I became more interested in political and other subjects.
Now, I rarely read much about the WT, but enjoy this place because I've come to know and love so many here. And it makes it so nice to have the discussions we have about all the other topics.
So, no, the fact that technically, I am an ex-JW, I don't think of myself as that and don't even feel that much at all about JWs. Of course, I know what harm they can cause, but it just doesn't enter into my mind that much. I guess the Iraqi war and the present administration has eclipsed my concern about religions.
Deepak Chopra likens who we are to a library. Books come and go, but the building is the same. We are who we are but experiences change, like a river. Who knows what it'll be in the future, but we still will be essentially us.
