Blech, beer...I repeat with grandiose emphasis, even if I cannot spell grandiose, blech.

How about that ice cream and shake mix that fast food places have, that the jws used to use at their conventions. Yummy yummy for my tummy, I'd love to be dipped, er plunged, er baptised in that stuff....

In fact for a while recently I was working at McDonalds. Maintenance..a pain in the ass..but almost management..blech. Anyhow I wasnt required to handle food.. but as you can guess..whenever the shake machine needed filled, I always came a runnin...and of course had to test a 32 ounce cup just to make sure it was ok.

I could run off a list of former sisters that I'd like to see baptised into my cult, in that stuff.......

I was baptised as a baby !! then as a JW -then when I came out I did it again at the Baptist Church ,,, I was aloud to give my testimony over the radio after being dunked..... I fuguered SOME JWs would hear about it..... But My daughters that were brought up JWs ( & baptised by them) said No Once is enough!!!! Mel died, Sue is out! Annmarie still a JW----it is not a matter of salvation anyway!

Same as JH: baptized as an infant into the Catholic Church which was merely 'standard operating procedure' and really meant nothing (was not done out of my own free will but was based on the 'false' belief that if babies aren't baptized and they die for whatever reason, then they will end up in Limbo forever -- what a guilt trip for parents!); and then in my late twenties, of my own free will and choice, I was baptized by the JWs, though it was, thankfully, before the WT corrupted the baptismal vows in 1985 (Matt. 28:19), so imho, that baptism is still valid (as far as me and God are concerned), whatever religion/church notwithstanding:

    Mark 16:16
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

However, if I were ever to get baptized again, I would hope the next time I would receive all three components of the baptismal equation: water - spirit - fire:

    Matthew 3:11
"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."

    ;-)

    Nope.....

I'd rather be marinated in everclear and set on fire than to be baptised into any religious organization again.

What a good question, hadn't thought about that. I was christened as a child and baptized as a teenager into JW's...I sincerely don't know!

I spill beer on myself all the time...does this count?

Shame on you wasting good drink when people in poor countries are going sober!!

I was baptised JW when I was young (I think 12 or 13 - don't remember the exact year). I didn't plan on getting baptised every again, but circumstances in my life changed and I just felt like doing it about 2 years ago - I was rebaptised by a non-denomination church. For me it was a statement for myself that I was cleansed of all that bad JW background and was moving on. I also really wanted to commit myself to Jesus - and I felt like I didn't do that the first time around. I was committing to an organization and doing something to make my parents proud.

Now - back to Valis about wasting that beer...........

This Orangefatcat was to be confirmed by the Church of England (high Aglican), however just shortly before this was to occur my parents in their infinite wisdom (being sarcastic) prevented it by telling my dear beloved grandma that our family is becoming JW and Terry (yours truly) was not going to be confirmed by the church as she had wished, rather she will be going to the Kingdom Hall and will one day be baptised then. Of course moi was so upset, no more going to the church I loved with my grandma but rather to a dingy KH in Willowdale on Drury Ave. It must have been a real old building it was just a hall. hard chairs, a podium stand, no platform and a piano this was in the great year of 1964. Deep down I was angry that I couldn't go to Church with my dear grandma she was a saint, no kidding she was the most important person in my life as I was growing up. My mom was just a fool hardy 16yr teenager who had no concept of raising a child. So that is why most of my life was surrounded by her. She passed away in 1992 and she never lived to see my pull out of the WTS. Oh how I wish I had when she was alive. She was a beautiful, caring and loving grandma. We did everything together and it was she who taught me about God and life as a good person. She would read to little bible stories and teach me to pray and we just were perfect for each other. I miss her so very very much.

Any way as to being baptised again, I would if I decided to go back to the Anglican Church, my aunt Mary wants me to go, but is in no way even pushing, she is just waiting for me to make a move. Maybe I will suprisse her on Easter.Cross

Welll that is my story and I am stickin to it....Place Of WorshipDove 2Star

    Love your new Avatar OFC.!

I was baptized as a baby Catholic church, baptized as a JoeWit at 16 and then baptized by a monkey while in a percocet stupor.

Here's the picture of me when I was 33.
