My heart goes out to you Xena, I love my two cats. They are strickly "inside" cats. They sit in the windows, (cat TV) all day or sleep on the cable boxes in the various rooms following the suns tract from the breakfast room in the morning to the entertainment room in the afternoon. Maverick
What kind of pets do you have?

I have two Oscars. It freaks my granny out when i feed them feeder fish. She says they shouldnt eat each other! Anyways they are about 5 in each and they grow to be about 12 in. They will probably be ready to eat next year.

Two basset hounds and a hamster. The hamster is a real cutie who has won over even the heart of Big Tex (who used to make unfavorable vermin comparisons too). When we got Teddy -- he was Jennie's Christmas present -- he was a tiny little thing only a couple of months old who vigorously bit everyone the first week he was at the house. Now he has settled in, grown to twice his original size (both in length and girth), and cheerfully crawls all over anyone who is holding him. Ladybug, our younger basset, loves Teddy too, but as a potential entree and not as a member of the family.

Two gold fish, two tetra, two koi, one neutered alley cat and one Jack Russell mut. One wife and one grandson, 8351 slugs, innumerable spidermites, various aphids (number fluxuates with the temperature), 20 raspberry plants, nine roses, one apple tree with three grafted branches, one cherry with four grafted branches, unnumbered plantation of various perinnials and one giant laurel. No birds in the four bird houses but healthy colony of potatoe bugs...
What page in your book will my entry appear?

We had two cats, Ginger (3) and June (2), until just recently. Both were just kittens when we brought them home. Ginger had to be put to sleep on Feb. 29th.
Now we have only June. She is a "Tuxedo", a gentle, friendly and loving black and white short hair. She is very petite, with a long body and a little dot of black under her white chin.
We don't plan on replacing Ginger with another feline. We will just have the one cat. Despite what we have been told, most cats do quite well alone. June has excelled since Ginger left us. Ginger was a very intimidating cat.

I have two cat persons who have graced me with their presence..........one is a small black female with gold eyes, the other is a very LARGE black and white long haired male.........Trouble, he weighs 23 lbs! I also have two birds..........a very noisy cockatiel named Smudge and a small bright aquamarine parakeet named Samson..........who bosses the 747 (Smudge) around all the time. When I was looking for a new apartment seven years ago, one of the requisites was that it had to have lots of windows near grass and woods for the cats to enjoy................it does. My boyfriend used to have an Oscar, he named her The Bitch. She was. And, very much in love with him. He had to give her away when he moved. She kept growing and growing and growing! LOL! I also LOVE owls and ravens............in our state, CT, it is illegal to own any feral animals or birds. Over the years, I've owned rats, ferrets, lizards and frogs and birds........parakeets, and finches. I found and saved an injured pigeon one time..........she stayed for a few months then flew away with a flock one day. When I was younger, my sister and I raised a baby robin.........he, too, grew up and flew away.

I am owned by a dalmatian who is the most frustrating and lovable creature I've ever met, and I've been visiting some long tailed anoles at Pet Smart lately, wondering how I can talk the landlord into letting me have a couple. Our lease states "One dalmatian", which is better than the original "absolutely no pets" he did have on it, but I don't see where a couple of anoles would hurt;)

Cix, I had anoles too............with tree frogs...............I don't know how fussy your landlord was, ours was, and never said a word about them, cuz they were in a terrarium with plants, etc, and half the time were hidden away........and being green anyways, they'd blend right in with the foliage..........they are alot of work, tho..........they get stinky quick, and you have to feed them crickets..............also they are not friendly at all. Also, you have to have them warm........if you live in a warm climate, no problem, otherwise you have to have a heat source for them.
