    Why does it fricking matter? "Was Jesus black?" "Is god a woman?" etc., etc., I find most of these discussions to be boring at best, often bigoted at worst.

    Are you referring to biblical 'revelation'? Jews have never been very spiritual, to this day. They borrowed material from cannaanites, egyptians, babylonians and zorostrians in order to write the bible. Jesus, if he existed, was the exception. Notice that he never put a name to his 'father'. Was it the jewish patriarchal personal god that he had in mind, or something else more general?
