I really enjoyed your experience and can identitfy with why you had doubts...and the lack of love by gossipers out in field service. I too was appalled to be around such unchristian an unloving behavior, and the judgmental attitudes as well. I like your name too!!

I was a 'newbie' just 3 months ago, made MY first post in January. As everyone has said, read, enjoy and here you can ask ANY question, some may be right on with your thoughts, some way, way off. There is a 'Freedom' here like none we had in the WTS.
Sassy,
It is just like you to do something nice like this...I can tell they are all a little surprised with the attention and welcome ! I like the one poster who said he half expected "to be turned into a pillar of salt." The sky did not fall for me either.
I am still a mewbie and it is a bit scarey to post.
But I read, read, read this site and well it has helped me so much.
welcome to all fellow newbies

Strawberry asked:
Nazgul....I love your name! Are you a Lord of the Rings fan??
Why yes, I am. Huge fan. I have to say that fantasy sometimes helps us escape a sad reality. The last couple of years have been traumatic. Trying to leave a religion in which I no longer believe without loosing my family, helping my wife deal with being abused as a child within the organization, starting a new life from scratch. All this things going on at the same time can drive you crazy, or make you bitter. I use LOTR as an escape. Well, that and working out at the gym. Everyone needs an escape valve.
Thanks for all the welcomes!!!!
