Mulan, you can take great pride that you cared for your parents like you have! You're a great daughter and I'm sure you'll have some adjusting to do after your dad moves out. Your dad sounds like a wonderful and thoughtful man!
You know, come to think of it, running around the house naked, didn't sound like a bad idea!!!

I think Princess might be tempted to take a flying leap off the Aurora Bridge, if that happened.
Our eldest son and his wife are expecting their third baby in September, and it was a shock to them. They have two boys, who will be 4 and 10 when this baby comes. They are hoping for a girl, but won't know for a few more weeks.
The NH my mom was in did the laundry but I would not let them. They were famous for washing everything in hot water, and the "soiled" ( BM and urine soaked garmets) laundry with the regualr laundry. also they lost a lot of things. Since i bought all of mom's clothes, i wanted her to look nice. I would do her launndry and pair up her clothes so she had pantsuits. That was she looked nice every day. The staff just did not have time to do such things. She required a lot help so i had to do it if i wanted her to look nice. They had a beauty shop and she got her hair done once a week. It took a lot out of me physically, b/c my health is bad, but i will never regret the years we shared together and miss her everyday.

It sounds like a great place for your dad. Does he have macular degeneration? It sounds like what my mum has in her left eye.
Your parents are fortunate to have you and your husband taking such good care f them all these years.

My life is going to have a BIG change soon
Wow my heart leaped when I read that. I'm not sure to jump for joy for you or console you! You are so right it will be a big change for everyone involved. It sounds like a change for the good too. I know your Dad will like being with so many who can share the things he's going through and now you and Dave will be footloose and fancy free, but I'm sure you will miss him all the same.

Life brings about changes doesn't it? I'm sure this time now ahead for you and Dave brings new memories together that will be very special.
