Yet ANOTHER Bizarre JW News Item...

It is a stupid religion alright...I am one of those who had an unscriptural divorce forced uopn me, by my JW now X wife. I don't see how they did not 'know' this wouldn't come up. It was one of my main fears...I liked being married and I could not see spending the rest of my life alone and celibate.

I lasted 4 years before becoming disgusted, then inactive 3 more... My solution...? I met a great lady and got married 6 months ago, my JW family and friends ( even tho' they knew we were going out and had met and liked her) immediately started shunning me and her as soon as we announced our engagement. I was told by family members...I should just simply remain celibate and "only marry in the Lord!" Yeah right! What good JW woman would date me? I was not "free to remarry!" Easy for them to say...

I am glad for what I did, I had a very public wedding, so far, nobody has shown up at my door asking about it. In some ways the JW policy has helped me 'get out', The Elders even told my X, she was in the wrong, but I would have to pay the price, if I re-married I , would be DF'd.

The weird thing is...my X and my children like my new wife, too. They really had no problem...the Elders tho'...well, you know !

    Farkel:

    1) Spouse claims that the other spouse put him/her in "absolute spiritual endangerment" by say, asking the "wrong" question

My X tried that cause sometimes I would ask her to miss a meeting once in a while. I had some questions, just did not understand why this or that was allowed and "What about this Brother, Elder Hypocrite?" He's not act very Christ like...? Of course you know the standard JW answer was: "Wait on Jehovah's Organisation."

The Elders did not go for that...to their credit.

Loyalty doesn't go far tho' does it...like what you, Nadsam and Donkey went thru in the thread about "Consciencous Objectors", eh?

I went through a JW divorce. My wife pull the "spiritual endangerment" crap on me. That gave her Watchtower approval to steal $ out of my business, take personal items and steal a my brand new car. Elders refused to get involved, until I started associating with ex-witnesses, then they canned my butt. Least my ex-wife now can not speak to me. Thank God, I'm done with these people and their man made rules!!!

I wonder how one "proves" spiritual endangerment. Do you need two witnesses?
