It has not yet been released, my friend - the 2001 CD came early 2003, and replaced the 1999 edition, so the next one should be the 2003 edition and would be released in a year's time.

    Greetings

I understand that JWs have been able to place orders through the congregations in the US now. When the orders, will be filled is up in the air? It was almost 2003 before the 2001 were shipped.

Don't forget, folks. CD-Roms similar to this one have been seen retailing for $50-100. Give special consideration to the Bibles exhortation to "Honor Jehovah with your valuable things."-Proverbs 3:9

Hey New Light - you hit the nail on the head. I remember that shocking announcement in the Kingdom Ministry when the first CD-ROM came out around 1993. I remember thinking to myself, "Huh? The cost of production is around a couple of bucks!?"

Further proof that it's simply a publishing company and nothing more.

    Danggggg

For $50-$100, it should come with spam protection, e-mail access capability, and it should shred old mags and recycle them into bum-wipe.

    Love, Scully

Yeah, and that's if it were produced by a secular company which pays its employees, provides insurance, pays social security, taxes, etc. Imagine how little it actually costs WTBTS to make these things. They also strongly discourage home-made copies. Just disseminating the word of God, huh?

I wonder for those who have the CD, Are there ''missing'' peices, quotes, views?

I never trusted them to include all, as new light blinks in and out.

So far everything I've looked up has been there in complete form.

However, once I started looking up quotes from "apostate" sites... my CD quit working. I think it is made to self destruct.

The brothers told me my 03 should be here within a month a week or two ago...

We've had the 2003 edition for about a month, courtesy of some Bethel friends.

The new twist this year is links to maps. Click on a Biblical city referenced in a publication and up pops the map from the new map booklet. Pull up the map booklet and click on a city name and up pops the reference in the Insight book(s).

Also still included is the pronounceable names section.. Click on a Bible name and you have the option to hear the name pronounced.
