It has not yet been released, my friend - the 2001 CD came early 2003, and replaced the 1999 edition, so the next one should be the 2003 edition and would be released in a year's time.
Greetings
Hey New Light - you hit the nail on the head. I remember that shocking announcement in the Kingdom Ministry when the first CD-ROM came out around 1993. I remember thinking to myself, "Huh? The cost of production is around a couple of bucks!?"
Further proof that it's simply a publishing company and nothing more.
Huh? The cost of production is around a couple of bucks!?"
Yeah, and that's if it were produced by a secular company which pays its employees, provides insurance, pays social security, taxes, etc. Imagine how little it actually costs WTBTS to make these things. They also strongly discourage home-made copies. Just disseminating the word of God, huh?
I wonder for those who have the CD, Are there ''missing'' peices, quotes, views?
I never trusted them to include all, as new light blinks in and out.
We've had the 2003 edition for about a month, courtesy of some Bethel friends.
The new twist this year is links to maps. Click on a Biblical city referenced in a publication and up pops the map from the new map booklet. Pull up the map booklet and click on a city name and up pops the reference in the Insight book(s).
Also still included is the pronounceable names section.. Click on a Bible name and you have the option to hear the name pronounced.
