I had one of those, except I had the rubber keyboard that you could put on top. I quickly lost interest in the Timex Sinclair because it only had 1k of ram (unless you had the 16k ram pak), it was black & white, no sound, and you had to use one of those shoebox cassette players for storage. It was a pain in the ass trying to adjust the volume on the cassette player to get the software loaded without errors.
That's why I liked Commodore's Datasette better. Just push play. No fiddling with the volume & tone controls.
