Can You Believe This Insanity?

:You're one of the biggest liars and hypocrites I've ever seen, Friday. You defend a religion that would brand you as an "apostate" and DF you in two seconds.

    Reckon?

:Your whole life is a lie,

    Reckon?

:you've been caught in so many lies and misrepresentations in your posting career you rank second only to You Know.

The only one that you can point out has to do with what wasn't a lie to begin with. You're simply full of hot air, everyone knows that. I'm not gonna let you use your diversion tactics to divert the attention off my point over on to me or anything else. I wised up to that trick of yours a long, long time ago.

:You've been inactive from the WTS for 26 years by your own admission. You are an "apostate."

ME, me, me. Let's talk about JW.com, JW.com, JW.com ... and how that title misrepresents the facts.

Being inactive doesn't make one an apostate, Mr. Apostate. If I were an apostate then I would be kin to you, even as most those that post here are kin to you in that sense. So, don't try making ME kin to YOU.

:You have a lot of nerve, hypocrite.

Yes siree, you really addressed the issue of whether or not the name of this forum is a misrepresentation of the truth. All you can do, Farkel, is bluster and call others names in a case such as this -- because there is no defense that you nor anyone else can make.

:If you think this board is dishonest, then get the fuck off of it. And never come back. Otherwise, shut your fucking stupid little mouth.

I don't recall asking for YOUR permission when coming here. Do you really think that you have any jurisdiction over who can and who cannot post on this or any other site.

    Okay Yadirf/Friday I'll bite.

You implied I was dishonest, saying "surely I must be the owner and operator of a not-so-honest used car lot".

Why'd you turn the heat on me personally, and then when Farkel turned the heat on you (saying your "life is a lie" and you were an "apostate"), you whined in this fashion:

ME, me, me. Let's talk about JW.com, JW.com, JW.com ... and how that title misrepresents the facts.
If you didn't want Farkel to bash you, then why did you bash me (somebody you don't even know)?

I never posted on H2O, because by the time I got out of the JW organization and discovered these discussion boards earlier this year, H2O looked to me like a war zone, very disorganized.

Today, I merely pointed out an inconsistency in Rick's post that I didn't understand. Why did you attack ME rather than answer the point of my concern? Sheesh.

Now, as to whether this site is actually misleading or not, take a look at the following link, which is Simon's preview of how the next upgrade will look.
    * http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/fs/3/default.htm

You will notice two key phrases here, "bulletin board service for the JW and ex-JW community", and "Any Jehovahs Witness or interested person can participate". And Simon means what he says, you can post here without fear of editing or deletion (unless you go WAY over the top). Nothing at all misleading there, eh?

There, I have given you a point-by-point, substantive answer. Or would you rather I have sunk to your level and called you dirty names? Maybe that would make you happier, but I'm not here to make you happy!

    Hi Farkel,

Back to the subject. It is really sad to see the total denial Rick is in. Here he told all the regulars to leave and heaped scorn and abuse on the advice he was given. Now when he is facing the results of his folly, as usual he has to conjure up his usual conspiracy theories.

The "explanation" for H2O's troubles must be sought everywhere but in the right place. The way H2O is now is of course a direct result of his own actions.

Of course he will unable to grasp that simple fact too.

Is it any wonder people avoid the place with a site owner like that?

    Norm.

I have been saying for years that Rick is completely off his rocker. When he keeps people like Friday/Yadirf around, it's no wonder.

I believe they both have something called "Galoping Brain Cell Disease".

THis drivel isn't neither worse nor better than the many he has been posting over the years. I have always said he should remember to take his medication - and so has others. Unfortunately it seems he hasn't followed our advice.

I have posted his latest rantings on The Watchtower Observer - just to remind people why I removed the link to H2O months back.

    RoamingFeline,

I did read your post, and don't worry, it isn't going to get deleted! There was virtually nothing in it that would remotely warrant its removal.

I can understand your feelings and apprecite your comments. I just got off the phone with a friend of mine and we were discussing the very things you brought up. The problem with this idea of feeding "baby food" to little dubbies is that virtually ANYTHING that goes contrary to the Holy Watchtower's Dogma is going to stir up emotions and stir up strife with some JWs. The religion is by its very nature controversial, and its members are by their very nature highly emotional, defensive and paranoid.

How much reform does witnessesonline.com effect? Virtually none. How much reform or good will a highly watered-down board like what Rick wants to have accomplish? I'll bet my last dime that it will do little or no good, except as a place to socialize. If he wants a social board, fine. If he wants a reform board, it's going to fall flat on its face.

I never said I didn't believe in God, btw. You just assumed that. I'm still a believer, but not in "Jehovah of the Watchtower."

I've noticed on this board that a lot of nice socializing goes on as well as heated debates. H20 used to be that way, too. It's the best of both worlds here now.

I find it oddly hypocritical that some dubbies don't have a second thought about using "Theocratic Warfare" to promote their agenda, which includes lying to anyone and everyone who doesn't "deserve" to have someone show them honesty, yet they scream like stuck pigs when people like me use "apostate warfare" which, though offensive is nonetheless factual.

If those dubbies who were SO offended they wouldn't stay a while and at least try to refute what was said, then they aren't ready to examine their religion anyway. They will have boards like witnessesonline where they can continue to blissfully remain braindead and chat with their braindead peers about braindead matters.

Good points, Farkel. I don't remember what it was you said at the moment, to give me the impression you didn't believe in God himself, as opposed to the Jah of the WTBTS, but no matter, I stand corrected.

I tend to be one to believe there's a higher mental power/energy source out there somewhere, but if he has any interest in us personally, I can't see it. lol

You have some very good points about the H20 forum. The post I was referring to that I wanted you to read, was the one at H20 though, where I had my say to Rick. I have to say, that I still feel there should be a forum where we don't scare 'em off, but feed 'em babyfood for awhile, but not the moderated to hell and back forums like Witnesses online or Greatcrowd. You're right about those, they're for the ones who wish to remain clueless, too afraid to examine their own beliefs. Thanks for the comments.

Fark, you notice that according to Friday, you deserve 30 lashes across your bare back and that's THAT!?

That's an example of the kind of opinionated bombast characteristic of JWs that helped me right out the door. Their opinions represented truth from which there was allowed no hint of variation.

Of course, when their opinions were shown to be in error, they were not moved to humility, but moved on to their next variation of unalterable truth to replace the freshly disproved unalterable truth.

Did you catch the following in that huge ramble at the H2O site?:

"...REFORMED in a manner we know as "new light." However, they don't just appear one day as an inspiration!"

Huh? I thought that was just the way they DID show up. I can visualize the GB sitting around a fantastically expensive rosewood conference table tossing their anti-typical Urim & Thummin down its impressive length, divining the meaning in the pattern of the rocks and delivering it to the faithful brain dead as "new" light.

If that's not how they do it, then how DO they do it? I'd like to know just how they apprehend the will of God. Every technique I know of would be called mysticism by them or Satanism. So how does what the "will" of God is get from the mind of God to the "mind" of the Governing Body. Have they ever said? Does anyone know?

Sorry to ramble. It's early in here.

Francoise, have you ever read Crisis of Conscience? Ray Franz gives a credible account of how the decisions are made. IMHO, they're given Divine inspiration by the BANK. You see, if it affects their coffers, they have divine inspiration to make changes.

I disagree that this site is in any way deceitful.

The Watchtower Society could have bought all the domains it wanted with its money.

It chose Watchtower.org not Jehovahs-Witness.com. I think that clearly shows where its priorities are.

This is a people oriented site and has the right name. Watchtower.org is a marketing site for a profitable religious journal. It has the right name too.

    hugs
