Bingo, the JW's cover up for EVERYONE. But if you think about it, all JW's who go out and prosylitize are clergy. This is the dodge many of them used to stay out of vietnam. They can'[t have it both ways.Also, I bet my botttom dollar that they are still not reporting in mandatory reporting states.It's just since dateline that they are saying to report in those states anyway. BFD. Can anyone give me an example of a JW who has been turned in since then? If they really were it seems like there would be a shitload turned in because the cong.s are now "allowed" to instead of "Waiting on Jehovah". But that has'nt happened, has it? I think that, in and of itself, is very telling.

Trying DID produce results this morning in my local paper...
After talking to the AP newswire editor yesterday re: the sexual abuse caucas article that was not printed when it was fresh news, IT WAS printed today!
I stuck to my guns on this one and it produced results. I called her this morning to thank her and tell her that after all the emails and phone calls to the paper, she was the one that got the job done. I told her more will be coming so please keep printing them, as all communities have a right to know about sexual abuse of all children in their towns and counties. She said she is on top of it now.
It's a good feeling when hard work does not go un-noticed.
What all of this footwork says to me is that I will not stop trying to bring forth the truth, as in time, it WILL produce results. The truth will be WITNESSED, NOT Jehovah!

You see sf .... you try 99 times and nothing happens. But finally, that 100th time, especially when you are on the moral high ground dealing with a very serious issue, you will suceed.
Congrats on your huge achievement (and yes I for one consider it huge!) - you just vaccinated tens of thousands of humans.

Yes, I consider it huge too. When I saw it, I bursted out with a sigh of relief in the form of laughter. And then called her to thank her. She was happy that I was happy. I told her "NOW our community is informed and jw children now have a voice, thanks to you ma'am".
As far as the UN letter campaign, we must keep rolling for the Absolute Truth in this matter. And with you basically at the helm, I think I can handle the 99 percentage; knowing the one percent is the goal. Please see my thread on said letter, as I have typed out its contents therein.

I was on the phone last night to an old (and loyal, though concerned) JW friend.
He mentioned that his aunt (also a loyal but concerned JW living somewhere on the west coast of the USA) sent him a cutting from her local paper with a report on the Silentlambs conference.
We chatted for a while and he's coming over for a longer in-depth discussion.
