There is a boring talk which is the same each year followed by the passing of the bread and wine which no one eats or drinks.

Nothing even remotely interesting. Just another boring meeting with boring talks. Then you get to sit there and wait patiently for your turn to touch the glass of wine and plate of crackers and give it to the next person to touch.

JW's dont eat it or drink it because they are not chosen by God to. God chooses who will get to go to heaven with him and rule the rest of us and only THEY get to eat and drink.

We could start explaining that you have to be one of the 144,000 chosen ones in order to drink the wine but the more we explained, the more bizarre it would seem.

My mother bought an expensive blouse to wear to the Memorial tonight. She doesn't have a lot of money to spend so I don't understand why. The whole Memorial seems so bizarre to me. Everyone comes all dressed up to reject the Lord's Supper? It may be the truth of the Watchtower but my understanding is that it doesn't say that in the bible. Jesus said to those who believe do this in memory of me until I come back. John 6:51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. John 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
