Friends, Fraiser, ER, anything that was on Thursday nights, although I admit my best friend and I used to sneak out early once a year to watch the MTV Video Music Awards.

I still haven't seen any of the "Ghostbuster" movies. Just saw "Platoon" for the first time. Anything rated R that came out before '94. The list goes on and on.

I really exposing myself as a product of formative yrs in the 80's

Rarely saw any "R" movies (*gasp*dum dum dummmmm) for obvious reasons

Remember the big deal about "Dirty Dancing"? I think I'm recalling even a WT or Awake mentioning comnemdation on it

"Dallas" "Falcon Crest" and such forbidden soap opera type fornicating adulterating heathens

Also remember when "I want your sex" was the scandal? We had to turn the radio off and watch the adults squirm with shock that something so wicked was on the airwaves.

I was told to dismiss the ending to "Somewhere in Time' because it showed that just anyone could go to heaven.

I did sneak into "Nightmare on Elm St" in the theatre when 15 but felt so unbelievably guilty I ruined the whole experience with "Will I get caught? Jah ALWAYS brings wrongdoing out in the open!!!"

My mother-in-law prohibited our daughters from watching The Simpsons, but would let the younger grandsons watch Seinfeld. In the 80s Fantasy Island was taboo. Funny tho, The Littlest Mermaid was off limits but most of elders kids were circulating a coyp of Angels in the Outfield. Go figure!

Forgot to mention Saturday Nite Live Yeah, I was thinking about that one as soon as I hit the Post button. The elders in our cong even went so far as to say that anyone who had seen it would be reproved. Remember the WT or AW article quoting such "dastardly" movies as ET, specifically the line where the kid called his brother "penis breath"? I had already seen it, and just scoffed.

I watched whatever I though was appropriate. I regularly watchted the X-Files and many horror movies including the Exoricst (based on a true story). I even watched Star Wars even though JWs in my area said that George Lucas used a spirit medium to make the movie.

My parents never let me watch Miami Vice. I used to think Don Johnson was so hot. So when I moved out and lived on my own, I watched all the reruns of MV on the TV and if I wasn't home -- I would TAPE them -- just so I didn't miss anything. LOL
