I was brainwashed /abused for so long, right now:
learn to recognize brainwashing and manipulation and abuse
get to know myself and not the WTS progamed person i was
being kind is not a weakness, it is a gift, u can never really go wrong by kindess
cultivate the political side within me that has been silent too long, b/c i am a citizen of this world, and I feel i should contribute to it. This has lead me to see that peace at any price is not the answer. At one time i would have felt that way, but now i know, u have to stand for something or u will fall for everything.

Amazing synchrosity.................was going to share this with you all and when I saw this thread, thought it would serve my purpose perfectly............I believe this with my heart and soul:
If we perceived Life with reverence, we would stand in awe at the experience of physical Life and walk the Earth in a very deep sense of gratitude.

Corvin,
OK, gang; you've left the organization. In an effort to get to know each and every one of you better, let's talk about the one thing you really stand for now.
I stand by basic values as a human ... but I have no "thing" I stand for, no mission, no ultimate high and mighty goal ... I do have some milestones, such as helping out with the "child abuse" issue and the legalities involving the Watchtower organization ... and I am back in college to get my law degree ... a long road ahead ... staying alive to finish these milestones ... and getting back to my family.
What is the highest on your list of values? Try to sum it up in 5 words or less.
I am not good at short sound-bites ... not my style ... too narrow, restrictive, and confining ... maybe you might know us better if you ask for a little more substance ... maybe a few paragraphs ... or better yet, read our thousands of posts ... well, in my case, my 4,000 posts have not yet been restored ... but you can read many posts of many posters to get a better take on what each are about.
