For a recent example of the WTS's problems with changing doctrines check out the old "United in Worship" book and the new "Worship the Only True God". These books are word for word in many places. They both have the same chapter, Keeping Close in Mind Jehovah's Day. With the same subheading, Seperating of people. In the first book,1983, They state that people would be seperated into two groups, the wheat and the weeds. The wheat is identified as annointed Christians,( is there another kind?),these annointed Christians preached and further gathered more annointed Christians and then the Great Crowd. Mathew 13:36-43 is cited as support for the seperating of the annointed and Mathew 25:31-46 for the Great Crowd. In the new publication,2002, virtually the same is stated except that Mathew 25 is omitted because this doctrine has changed. They thus loose their scriptural support for any seperating of a non heavenly group of Christians. They attempt to offer support by injecting half quotes from Revelation 7 and John 10 surrounded by their own text.In fact if you read it with a free mind it sounds as though the Great Crowd is included in the Wheat and thus annointed. Basically I see the WTS as a log playing game of Jenga. A couple more pieces played and the hole thing will collapse.

    *** w95 10/15 p. 26 What Future for the Sheep and the Goats? ***
    15. It is not for us to determine who are sheep and who are goats.

*** w95 10/15 pp. 27-28 What Future for the Sheep and the Goats? ***
21 What, though, does this fresh understanding of the parable of the sheep and the goats mean to us? Well, people are already taking sides. Some are on ?the broad road leading off into destruction,? while others try to stay on ?the cramped road leading off into life.? (Matthew 7:13,14) But the time when Jesus will pronounce final judgment on the sheep and the goats depicted in the parable is yet ahead. When the Son of man comes in the role of Judge, he will determine that many true Christians actually ?a great crowd? of dedicated sheep will qualify to pass through the final part of ?the great tribulation? into the new world. That prospect should now be a source of joy. (Revelation 7:9,14) On the other hand, vast numbers out of ?all the nations? will have proved themselves to be like stubborn goats. They ?will depart into everlasting cutting-off.? What a relief for the earth!

(The quotes below show how the use of "other sheep" is back like always.)

    *** w01 1/15 p. 28 How the Governing Body Differs From a Legal Corporation ***
There was one exception. In 1940, Hayden C. Covingtonthen the Society?s legal counsel and one of the ?other sheep,? with the earthly hopewas elected a director of the Society.

    *** w01 1/15 p. 29 How the Governing Body Differs From a Legal Corporation ***
The Pennsylvania corporation is not the only legal entity used by Jehovah?s Witnesses. There are others. One is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Incorporated. It facilitates our work in the United States. Jehovah?s blessing has clearly been upon that corporation, though its directors and officers have been mainly of the ?other sheep.?

*** w01 1/15 pp. 30-31 How the Governing Body Differs From a Legal Corporation ***
?The faithful slave? has been ?appointed over all his master?s belongings.? These include facilities at headquarters in New York State, U.S.A., and the 110 branches now operating worldwide. The members of the slave class know that they will be called upon to render an account for the way in which they have used what has been entrusted to them. (Matthew 25:14-30) Yet, this does not prevent the ?slave? from allowing qualified overseers from among the ?other sheep? to care for legal and administrative responsibilities. In fact, this allows members of the Governing Body to devote more time ?to prayer and to the ministry of the word.?Acts 6:4.

So my question is, If the sheep and the goats have not yet been identified by (being judged), who are the "other sheep" referred to in the current Watchtowers? GaryB

    Thanks all for your replies.

I thought I was correct but wanted to make sure. I even had to give the review of the District Convention when it was first announced. But it got overshadowed by the change in the "1914 generation" teachings.

Interesting point by Gary B. That they still mention "other sheep" in the old way as if they have already been chosen.

Its almost as if there are 3 groups of sheep. 1) the anointed. 2) the "other sheep" 3) the sheep chosen at Armageddon.

How come sheep get all the attention? Why didn't the Bible authors talk more about real PEOPLE?

Why does God and Jesus like SHEEP so much? Because they follow just about anyone, or because they are stupid beasts?

And why would a LAMB be the supreme ruler of these sheep? Isn't a LAMB a juvenile sheep? Why doesn't the Bible just come right out and say it like it is instead of speaking in all this bullshit?
