  Of course, if the child had actually died, they would be sueing. And telling the WTS and anyone who would listen that he did so because they forced a transfusion on him. The above words were mine. I'm assuming this is the same family, that according to another thread, actually sued? The Nev Supreme Court (appropriately) denied the suit? Geeze...I honestly cannot believe they actually sued. As I said on another thread, I HOPE this is a landmark case. As a mother, as a HUMAN, I cannot believe how these parents have been brainwashed. No thanks to the JWs, their precious baby is ALIVE and healthy. And they sue because they were denied their rights to let him die. For THEIR wacko beliefs.

  Okay, obviously I'm upset. But just thinking...years from now, when Armageddon DOESN'T come as JW's planned, when these kids get old enough to comprehend the JW beliefs, their parents actions, the publicity, and the legal decisions that were made.

  What will be the impact on these kids? That their parents sued because they were not allowed the chance to let their child die? What about the kid that received the transfusion? Were the "worldly" medical and judicial systems, the enemy, able to force him to partake in one of God's most "hated" practices? His parents would have rather have seen him die; and certainly, GOD would have rather had have him die, than, as a helpless premature infant, being given blood.

  The JW's are WARPED. They have no basic comprehension of humanity and the impacts their self-absorbed, narrow twisting of the bible has upon their children, as well as upon others.

  I can't see why it's a big issue myself , as most states sponsor abortion , so what's the friggen difference if one is murdered or dies of natural causes ? I think the state determining morallity is just pointless . I don't hear many of you posters condemning abortion but you always trash the WTBTS over the blood issue . I'm not saying the parents should sue the state either because these kids couldn't speak for themselves on the issue but why should they step in when thousands of babies are being murdered every year and they accept that ?

  Determining Morality? What are you talking about? When a child is born, is VIABLE, the state ABSOLUTELY has the responsibility of insuring it?s wellbeing when wacko religious zealots want to impose their arbitrary interpretation of the bible on defenseless children.

  With YOUR logic, why do we even HAVE child protective services? Hell, when people are having abortions during the first trimester, why even speak up about a 3 year old who is murdered by her stepfather? Why step in when a 10 year old is raped by her uncle?

  Guess abortion makes all abuse to children okay.

  Blacksheep are you for or against abortion? I believe that life begins at conception and that it is immoral for people to have abortions, yet the people of this country want abortions legalized for any reason . I don't think letting a baby die of natural causes such as this is as disgusting as having it's brains sucked out during an abortion .

  You are talking different circumstances in this part of your post . I was talking a child dieing because of birth complications vrs. violent abuse from other human beings . Not the same in my book. I am not saying the state did an evil thing either .
