Did you know Jesus had a little brother named Satan? That's right.........God's "family" in heaven gave birth to two boys..........read for yourself.

    21) Not all children turn out the same way or for good. Jehovah's heavenly family had two outstanding sons that are brought to our attention in the Bible-one turned out bad. He made himself Satan the Devil. (Job 1:6; 2 Cor. 11:3, 14; John8:44; 1 John 3:8; Rev. 12:9)

    Dad ALWAYS liked Jesus best

It's intresting that according to the witnesses own doctrinal teaching's.....Jesus was the FIRST thing Jehovah created. Then, Jesus made everything else .However, according to the above article.......there was some "family that produced these two sons. Who was this family? Was there a family BEFORE Jesus? According to the above article, there was a family.

I either need to do more research......or just "wait on Jehovah" for the answer.

hehe, that sure sounds a lot like a throwback to Canaanite and Israelite mythology, which designated Yahweh/Baal (who assumed divine kingship) as one of the sons of El, the father god, and his consort Asherah, the mother deity. Baal was actually adopted into El's family, being the son of Dagan, and his brother Yamm was the preferred and beloved son of Asherah, who represented the forces of chaos and disorder, who was defeated by Baal in a struggle for divine kingship. This story was later transformed in the book of Revelation into the battle between Michael the Archangel and the ancient dragon of Satan the Devil.

Well, that's news to me! I didn't know that Satan was considered Jesus' brother, but I should have suspected this doctrine.

The Mormons believe this as well.

I'll bet the two boys were cute little guys when they were young.

I remember this line of teaching from the 1970s.

I always wondered what would happen if Lucifer/Satan were to return to the fold, kinda like the parable of the prodigal son. Would Jehovah welcome him back with open arms? Would Michael/Jesus be ticked off about it? Would Jehovah then set aside his grand plan to destry Satan as was laid out in just about every Bible book from Genesis to Revelations? If there was no chance for Satan to return & repent, what does that say about our own chances for forgiveness if we do something really bad? If there is no chance for Satan to mend his ways or repent, what does that say about the question of free will vs. fate?

Some folks didn't like my questions.

I think the WTS explanation is that there is no chance for Satan, because he was "perfect" when he did his bad deeds, whereas human sinners had no choice but to sin because except for Adam, Eve and Jesus, nobody was perfect.

But it's all highly theoretical to me. It's like some heavenly game of chess between the forces of good and evil in which we humans are depicted as pawns.

Free will versus fate? As an old song by the group RUSH says, I will choose free will. Let whoever is in heaven duke it out for supremacy in their realm. I have other things to worry about.

Satan was always trying to get little Jesus into trouble. He used to blme him foe everything. Finally, Jesus got pissed and threw him out of heaven right on his ass.

I remember hearing something similar to this. All of the angels were Jehovah's children, and some turned bad. Gotta love the "family" reference. I wonder if they have "family night" where they all sit and study the Watchtower.
