Yes it is true that it was deemed sacrilege to use "The Name" in ordinary speech in the first century, so if there was a man named jesus who had gone around boldly and defiantly using "The Name' he would have most certainly been accused of blasphemy or related sin. Yet among the charges the NT tradition says were leveled against Jesus, this particular charge was not brought. Jewish Christians would likely have shared the Jewish views on these type of matters and that the Gentile Pauline Church would likely have deigned such Jewisms as childish.
