I have two of his CD's but haven't heard this song. Judging from the long hair, it must be an old song. Azaria
Nether Lands was released in the summer of 1977.
The first time I heard Dan was in 1975. I was listening to WRAS 88.5 Georgia State University's station. Aspen/These Days from the LP Captured Angel was playing. It was so beautiful that I called the station and asked who it was. They told me it was Dan Fogelberg. Fogelberg? What a strange sounding name I thought. I ended up buying the albumn which was great. I then bought Souvenirs which I think is his best LP. When Nether Lands the LP came out in 77, I was studying with JWs. His earlier music was less poppie and more profound.
Dan has an official site now. Here is the link to the his discography and lyrics page. http://danfogelberg.com/lyrics.html If you've only heard his pop hits, but you like them, then treat yourself to his CD: Souvenirs, first. Every song on it is great. It's a classic you'll want in your collection. You'll get a lot for your money. Your local library may have it as well.
<<< A big Dan Fogelberg fan here. Thanks for passing along these very thought-provoking lyrics. As usual, the son of "the leader of the band" is on target.Gopher
You're welcome, Gopher. Do you have any of Dan's CDs, tapes or records? Have you heard this song? If so: what did you think of it?
