Now that is strange! I could only guess that it was a terrirorial thing.
Once at work I heard a very loud bang against the window... when I went outside to look there was a poor little bird dieing on the ground. It lived for a minute or two while I held it. After it died I put it in the bushes so it would not be disturbed.
