Good for you Puternut. I think that you did a great service, but I still think that more than 99 percent will stay in the organization because they are blinded by their own glory.

I feel too that some stay just to save face.

I do hope though that just one or two come to realize that you sincerely mean to save them from the claws of the Organiztion and it would be wonderful I they could see it for themselves. Because if a person showed the same sincereity when going into the organization just maybe they will still show that same sincereity to find out wether or not what you've told them is true or not.

It was nice too that Blondie was a big help with those links. I was wondering if you could share those links Blondie sent you. You can PM if you wish

Dude, it's a llama. Puternut, if it makes you feel any better, here's the response I got from my sister when I asked her about the UN thing. (I hadn't heard about the NGO deal until a couple of weeks ago when I found this site.) "Dan, here is the reply I got from an Elder in my congregation to your question: As to Q: sorry, hadn't heard that about JW in UN. Don't know why they would, since there would be possibility of some involvement in a system that can't be fixed. So that leads me to wonder about the source of the item, is it reliable? I do vaguely remember someone mentioning this several years ago. As you say, its unthinkable, as the UN is part of the sign of the "beast that was, was not, and was again" in Revelation, and is slated for destruction at Armageddon as part of Satan's organization on earth. Sis" Sounded to me like a page straight out of the Clinton playbook: deflect, deny, and question the legitimacy of the source.

Really, Puternut, good job for taking the time to mail all those uppercrusts...Their responses are quite typical. Because if they say anything different they KNOW what the consequences will be.

I showed a family member the UN letter, and the response was much like Dan-o's: " Well, you can't trust everything you read!!!"

Aggravated me to pieces, but remember, it could be their FIRST exposure to exposing major flaws in the org.

Someone once said, that when you show a flaw about the org., it is like someone putting down your best friend. First you will deny that your best friend could be so cruel, then you start believing it when more evidence comes in.

So Puternut...you have planted some evidence...

It's all about "the Organization." People don't matter. Wrongs against people don't matter. It's all about "the Organization."

Even if a brother offers a prayer and omits reference to the organization or the "faithful slave," he is suspect.

You can forget to mention Jesus in your prayer, but for Heaven's sake, don't forget to mention the organization!

How are we any different from the political and religious systems of the world, where CYA is the most important thing of all???

Putternut, you should email Elder 3 back and ask him if we should also ignore the Media's reports about the pedophile problem within the Catholic Church. See what he says to that!
