In reply I was told that Satan obviously had a grip on me still and it would e better if I put my faith in God and attended the Sunday meeting instead of sailing.

Just to make a point, if you are so inclined, go to the Kingdom Hall next Superbowel Sunday. Just see how many are not there. To ease their conscience and to show everyone that Satan does not have a hold on them, they will go to an earlier meeting so that they can catch the game.

You mean...I was in a CULT for 36 years??????????? Just because I was involved with a group that required loyalty to a group of men claiming to have God's Spirit, attended "meetings" and/or some type of worship/service 6-7 days a week, all the while having the same phrases repeated over and over again like: "We are in a spiritual paradise." "Must show loyalty to GB." "Must obey elders." "We have love amongst ourselves."...doesn't mean that I was in a cult does it? OMG! I was a JW Moonie!

I was thinking along those same lines when I posted that.

I was reminded of a time quite a few years ago when I was In the Bus depot in NYC. and the Hare Chrisnas (spl?) were singing and trying to place-sell literature.

They came up to me and stuck a book out to me so I took it and started walking away. One of them came up to me and said "That will be a $10.00 donation please." Well needless to say I gave the book back to them.

But as I said,all cults do the same thing.
