Oh, yes. The last kh I attended I learned that the kids of someone with low hours were not allowed to play with the "good witnesses." Talk about evil!
Do hours in preaching affect social status?

I didn't fit in with the cliques either way, whether I had low hours or even when I regular pioneered?. I was invited out maybe three or four times a year. These were either congregation functions or weddings. Of course, for weddings only elders? and ministerial servants? and their families were invited for the meal. Everyone else was invited only for the dancing, such as it was. Once I stopped pioneering? I wasn't invited to most of those either. My wife would be invited to a bridal shower, probably only because they wanted a gift out of us, but we wouldn't be invited to a wedding. After this happened a few times we decided not to attend anything any more.
I'm sure being a JW takes its toll on a persons social skills. In my own case it got to the point where I would turn down most invitations, and avoided all congregation functions, preferring to stay home and play computer games or watch The Simpsons. I hated the fact that EVERY function had some component that made the pioneers? appear superior to everyone else.

I hate to say it but as a regular pioneer who had attended pioneer school, I had what I thought was a great social life! BUT - I was warned against hanging out with other JW's who were not as 'spiritual' because I was there as an example - can you believe it?
I was in with the 'in crowd' and was invited out all the time - I would love to think it was because of my fantastic good looks, my amazing sense of humour but who is kidding who - it was all about the class system.
I will never allow myself to be dictated to again over whom I have as a friend and whom I don?t!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
