Well, I'm an Athiest and find nothing wrong with it either. Its just a card game. But I do have a couple funny instances about it regarding JWs.

I used to play Magic when shortly after it first came out, and quit around Ice Age (before I got into the borg). I still have a bunch of cards but haven't touched them in years.

About 5 years ago at a double KH quick build, me and another brother were assigned "Guard Duty" overnight to make sure nobody stole the equipment left there. The brother was known to play games all the time, and as the evening went on, he whipped out a couple decks of Magic that he and his wife played with. I suppose he realized there was nothing wrong with a card game. I though "we shouldn't be playing this, especially at a KH". Not because I thought it was bad, but just didn't want to deal with the people saying I caused the KH to be demonized. LOL. Well, we played a few games and nothing bad happend. Later, he tried to play with some zealots and they turned on him and told the elders. He got in some trouble, but didn't really know the extent of it. They asked me if I was ok, or if I needed some counseling.

The second time was a couple years ago. My brother (never a dub) came over to my house (when I was married and a dub still) with his magic cards. My wife at the time saw them and said he better not take them out in her house. Well, we were watching TV and he took the cards out to test his new deck and she flipped. She stormed off into the bedroom and then yelled for me to follow. She said "how dare you let him practice magic in our household. We'll have demon problems for sure!" I politely asked my brother to put away the cards cuz it made her feel uncomfortable. I felt stupid, but I'd rather feel stupid than have to deal with her. But now she is gone and I'm out. If you have fun playing a game, do it!

My 17 year old son loves to play magic. lots of magic cards

I suppose if Magic the card game is frowned on.

My 14 year old would have to give up all his Yu-gi-oh cards . tons of cards

and then what about all the Pokemon cards......I bet the J.W.'s view them as sort of smurfs.

    stupid ain't it.

    sincerely

Yes, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and all of those awful little things that kids like to do are OFFICIALLY frowned upon by the society.

Nonetheless, my son (Whose mom still goes to meetings) Watches/plays Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh...good boy.

Tragic: The addiction. Oh god I spent £100's on cards before managing to break the spell and flog all my cards to someone at Uni.

    Don't do it, just don't!

I read a few articles online, and they stated that the worst thing was the addiction of the game, and then some went to as far as stating that it's relation to the occult was the reason of the addiction.
