I like green capsicums best. They're particularly nice in chilli con carne.

How do YOU enjoy your capsicums?

I enjoy mine raw, but we call them bell peppers over here in the colonies. Bug

Has to be a sweet red pepper with a scoop of hummus or a yogurt-dill dip. I eat them nearly every day.

Raw bell peppers e-man on a grilled chicken salad with Rasberry vinagrette dressing followed by prime rib with stir fried bell peppers and washed down with Jack Daniels and Californian Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley

Tabasco for me, on eggs for brecky. I sometimes put the powder in soup or other food. When i was on a health food kick, i would mix a teaspoon of the powder in a half glass of warm water, and down the hatch. Aack.

I like them in chili con carne and spaghetti sauce or chopped up for pizza topping (the green ones).

All the colours together make a beautiful stir fry with chicken or shrimp and other veggies over a bed of rice.

They tend not to agree with me though. My stomach churns painfully all night after having them.

I favor the really really hot face. ---Pickled habeneros when I can get them.

The only drawback is the Missus won't kiss me if I eat them. She did once and complained about her lips burning for the next half hour.

If any of you visit Louisianna you should visit Avery Island on the Louisiana coast. The capsicum peppers were introduced to the Americas there and began to be used to makin hossauce...it also helped there is a massive salt mine nearby...a key ingredient in making Tabasco. Very cool place...you can watch them make the sauce and eat as much as you can possibly stand. Also a large bird sanctuary there and 12th Century Buddha.

    Sincerely,
