yeah, but Americans captured the Enigma machine ... thus winning WWII (I know, I saw it on a film) and they also invented the Jet engine (to help whittle down the list a bit)

They are the first and probably the only nation to bastardize their own language. They call the hood of a car a "bonnet" and a cigarette a "fag". They call sausages "bangers". They have an accent that makes their speech almost incomprehensible.
They claim to be English, but they don't speak it.
