There were many CO's that were almost intollerable...one that hated women and his wife looked like a beaten dog, hardly ever speaking. Then there was another that would say anything that came into his head, no matter how hurtful. Usually, his talks were all about how we did not do enough, did not sing loud enough, etc. But the worst were the CO's wives!!! Remember Angelo C******** anyone? He stay with us when I was first married and both of us pioneering. We rented a mobile home at the time and mom spent alot of time helping me fix up with new curtains etc. Well, Bro C******** was very nice. But his wife said some of the most hurtful things. She made it clear to us that these accomodations were beneath her and why didn't anyone with a larger house offer. Usually, I was not one to say anything, but she made me so mad, that I said to her, "Well, the elders came and asked us to have you stay since NO ONE offered to have you". She looked so incensed that she just got up and went to bed. The next night she asked if we were buying this trailer. I said that were were considering it. She said that we should get out of "this dump" and find a real house. Wow, she was a real pain in the a**.

Terry A******** wasn't "bad" simply because he removed elders and pioneers. He was doing what he was sent in to do.
I didn't know him well, but he did me a great honor once (and no I am not going to tell you what it was or when it happened).
Maybe you didn't like him. That's your prerogative.
Maybe you ARE him. If you are, I hope you are well and happy.

I did know that MOST COs loved being around money, fine homes and lots of material possessions.
So do I. I guess I must be bad.

Oh yes!!! Mr. 'Scholar' himself, self-proclaimed know it all, specially when it came to matters of the Spanish language meanings and correct pronunciation, none other than [EDIT] RAMIREZ!!!; CO now serving in some Spanish circuit in California.
He sure loved to gravitate around the well-to-do brothers and sisters, the best bidder, if you will. Sure loved the finer things in life, finest clothing and quite the museum/opera/ballet visitor and connoisseur. All paid by the most generous donations from the best of men-worshippers in the Massachusetts Spanish circuits.
According to accounts, he wasn't free to marry again scripturally speaking, but sure loved to accept lavish gifts from those sisters wanting to gain his attention.
He thought of himself as quite the master of all etiquette. Always looking at people in a dissaproving kind of way. Quite a jerk, really.

Angelacos did you a great honor??? Did he grace you with his presence? Did he marry you? The greatest "honor" [EDIT] Angelacos could give someone is his departure.

Worst: Red neck southern cracker from Alabama doing the Yankee New England tour. One day while out selling Watchtowers.I took exception to his assurance that his selected wild mushrooms were safe to eat.For this insult on his CO (Commanding Officer) sovereign authority, he nearly disfellowshipped my whole clan. BEST:Big brother 'Riyopoulous',district overseer from eastern Massachusetts, circa early 1980's.He had goiter from malnutrition. My Dad worked with brother 'Riyopoulous' door to door back in the late 1950's.Dad says, that their coffee break 'pit stops' often consisted of, "munching out on donuts and cheap hot dogs".He was a sweetie according to my limited Intel. He was,'bug eyed' from the goiter caused by lack of iodine in his diet due to reckless abandon of his health care for the 'Troof'.Last I knew he passed away, and was still dead.

The PO of my hall headed up my Judicial Comitee meeting for Apostacey. I was a punk little 19 yr old girl at the time. He was rude and argumentative, and genrally insulting to me. After my committee meeting he hit on me in the parking lot. Less than a year later he was DF'd fro "boinking" another Elder's wife.

Well, believe it or not the closest CO I knew that was "bad" is now on the GB, [EDIT] Pierce. I say he qualifies because he's a Hardliner, and is one of the nails in my JW coffin. On his first visit he told us (I was an MS at the time) that based on our hours in service that only half of us would be qualified to be servants. Another time he said that the only purpose of the congregation was to preach the good news and that if we didn't do our job the territory would be handed over to the neighboring congregations. Another time, we were in the car, he asked me about my long-term study, and told me only baptized JWs would be saved and I had better move him along to baptism right away. He had a very nice smile, but underneath a company man all the way.

He had a very nice smile,
I always thought he looked like Edward G. Robinson. Yeh, he was a hardliner. I never had the misfortune of being on the receiving end of his ire, and thought he was very nice. His wife is a real peach most of the time. But I wouldn't want to be on either of their bad side. One thing you gotta say about Guy though, he holds himself to the exact same standards as he holds everyone else.

One jerk elder comes to mind immediately. He was verbally and physically abusive to his kids, and certainly emotionally abusive to his wife. He was one of those tinpot dictators whose favorite activity was organizing JC's. As an example he came to our house one evening after my wife and taken care of his daughter for some reason. It was dinner time and she was eating with us. She didn't want to eat her peas, so this clown picks up a bunch of peas and starts stuffing them in her mouth. She's crying an flailing around and ended up throwing up on our table.
One time when I was talking to my wife about a thread similar to this she made a comment that most JW elders were trying to do a good job. I mentioned this guy and her exact words where "his problem wasn't that he was Witness, his problem was he's an a$$hole." She doesn't talk like that very often, that's a measure of how much she hated him.
