My mum says that the magazines have changed their style.

She wonders if they have been a new editor or a new management.

    IS SHE RIGHT?

When did she notice the change?

    Was it a............

    Change in paper quality?

    Change in font stye/size?

    Change in layout?

    Etc.

A few years back, there was a change in font style.

Even farther back, they upgraded to better paper.

Around 1990, they stopped asking for money in the article on the back page of the WT which "hiighlights" a publication and offered a free home Bible study instead. Too expensive to be offering free publications. They do offer free brochures/books on the last page of the Awake.

Of course there was the infamous change in the Awake mission statement when the WTS adjusted the rank and file's understanding of generation.

    AWAKE! Magazine says it all!

    1. Awake announces the "death wake" for the generation doctrine
    2. In the Awake! magazine of November 8th 1995 the masthead of the magazine was significantly changed. This single change is perhaps the most significant and obvious. They have now totally rejected the original 1914 generation doctrine. Of course, most witnesses on the street, are not even aware of this yet because they are forbidden to read "apostate" material. What is apostate about this material? Did it not reveal truth to YOU??? Had you noticed the masthead change below in the Awake magazine?:

    Before November 1995

Why AWAKE! Is Published ...Most important, this magazine builds confidence in the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away.

    After November 1995

Why AWAKE! Is Published ... Most important, this magazine builds confidence in the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure world that is about to replace the present wicked, lawless system of things.

Didn't Freddie Franz declare under oath that Jehovah was the editor of the Botchtower? Hmmmm.........maybe Jehovah wasn't keeping up on "present truths" and the Governing Body let him go.

Thet seemed to have changed their style of putting/saying things, perhaps saying things subtlier.

If you you mean asking strings leading questions, instead of giving an awnser to them then yes subtlier.

THe magazines have changed but sadly for the worse since the 90's the wts has imploded JW docterine to utter nonsense. You don't even have to be a JW to be saved anymore.Anyone can paratake the eurcharist if they got the fortitude, and the wts has divorced from the JWs legaly. The problem is nobody reads there watchtowers or remembers them. THey have went from new light to night vision. Changing things by omission than by declaration. Since about 500,000 jws a year leave the memory collective of changes tend to be short. I believe the GB has a plan to get as many people to leave as can be replaced. That way nobody gets any seniority or hangs around to cause trouble.

Well, JWs believe that only they will survive the great tribulation, all others die forever. They no longer teach that non-JWs that die BEFORE the great tribulation die forever but will be resurrected.

Anyone can go to the Memorial and partake if they are brave (have fortitude) enough, but will they be recognized as being "true" or "genuine" anointed?
