Hang in there Corvin. Most likely it is something minor and will be taken care of quickly and then be nothing but a memory. Things like this are very scary; especially for a 15 yr. old and her loving parents. I wish you a healthy outcome. The waiting for news can be excrutiating. Keep us all updated. Maybe all her worrying is getting her pooped out too. Sending a big ((((((HUG))))))

The elders better back the effoff or I'll be punching some fat arse in a cheap suit right in the nose.

Gee, corvin, worry about your daughter first. buddy. I'm sure you could find plenty of people willing to help out in these auxillary tasks..

Seriously, though, if ther is anything i can do, drop me a line, I live in NoCal, but I can drive.

I am sure you know that when her fellow JWs find out that she is having surgery, they will flock around like flies on dung. It can be difficult for her, you and her doctors to have private conversations in a standard hospital room.

Please make arrangements to discuss the blood issue at a time and place where privacy is assured; and while it is easier to have such a meeting with primary care physicians and surgical staff, it is often more difficult to have private conversations with anesthesia. The anesthesiologists often administer blood and blood products. So, discuss ahead of time how a private meeting with anesthesia can be set-up.

Just my humble opinion based on my experience.

Hope it all turns out well for your daughter and for you.

    Corvin,

I had the same thing, cancerous, and it was removed. Email me if you have any questions. And, she shouldnt need any blood... it is a pretty simple operation. [email protected]

Avi, really, I don't have words . . . and thank you for that gesture.

    Sincerely,

    Corvin

I'm so sorry to hear of your worries. I had a lump the size of half an egg on my neck when I was 6. I kept wearing my turtle-neck sweater to hide it. I finally asked my parents and we immediately had it removed. It was all scar-tissue and they had no clue why or how it formed. So just wait and see what the tests reveal.

As far as the blood issue...I sent Randy a document for use by non-jw non-custodial parents to counter the blood card. Just in case anyone needs it...thought I'd throw that in. Look under Legal Issues at the bottom of the page.

Thank you alamb; I am the custodial parent.

    Best Regards,
