Some years ago, about 4-5 years or so, I was watching tv and dateline was airing something about a religious group based very close to where I live. Attleboro/Seekonk MA. They didn?t say who the group was for quite a while during the show. As I watched it I thought, maybe its about JW?s. could have been because there was nothing giving me any reason to think it wasn?t. but then they showed a tent in a back yard and that was the place of worship, and they were jumping around and singing something I didn?t recognize. I knew it wasn?t the dub?s. but I was amazed at first (remember, I was still in the toof at the time) in my thinking that this ?cult? could have been jw?s. J I guess that was a lead in to the things I REALLY found out a few years later.
Anywhoo?. The news was really about how a young mother, Karen Robidoux, had let her child starve to death. (the name is ok to put here, as it?s a matter of public record, and the trail is now over. This had allot of newspaper and local tv coverage up until recently, as the case has been resolved) Her trial concluded recently. The people I mentioned above were heavily involved with her defense, and recovery from that cult she was in. dateline will be covering her story as well as others. I don?t know the ?exact? venue of the show. I just have the knowledge that this show will be about cults, and the power they have over their followers, even to the point of letting a child die from lack of nutrition, (or a blood transfution-as is the case with jw's).
