Wow! 38 posts on the board..If I worshiped your vengeful god I'd be worried when armageddon rolls around. (Don't worry it wont.) ;-)

If you don't follow your religion's goofy rules, how do you expect anyone to take it seriously?

I understand what you're saying, Flying...

The point I'm trying to make is: we don't have the capacity to govern our own lives. Man living independent from God has proved to be disastrous from the beginning. History is a testament to that. For instance, the United States has constituted itself such an enemy to the world, that it has to spend trillions of dollars every year just do defend itself. Its cheaper to buy dope out of some shmuck's trunk in the parking lot of Dairy Queen than it is to by medicine that we actually need. That is misery, my friend. Things like this only solidify the fact that man has no business governing himself nor the world. God's Kingdom is the only thing that can bring us lasting peace and happiness.

Dear Brother what are you striving for? Are you anointed? Do you read the watchtowers and ignore the other parts?

There is nothing for the great crowd to leave or comeback to. There is no commission for us to preach anything it is not our job. Also those that die today are not being judged. Armageddon can happen any time in the future and scientifically it is expected. Legitimately the end could come in 10 thousand years. The watchtower has said it has no idea if we are living in the great tribulation now or if it will come in the future.

If a person is in good standing, and becomes "inactive", and they are of the great crowd that entails every human what more is there to do?

Why would Jehovah charge a person for something that he is giving wicked people for free? Is Jehovah trying to cheat us?

The watchtower today told us the preaching work is not our work, but the anointed. You are advocating a faith that is only for 1% of its members the rest is nonparticipating bystanders. The only crime punishable by destruction is attacking the anointed according to the WTS. He has not given us the kingdom and the wicked will be raised too any way. You are trying to eat broth with a fork.

If you insist to help offer a baptism, for anyone that wants it. we have no clergy class so all baptized JWs can preform tham to interested ones. That is the most you can do.

    Note this:

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God?s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God?s kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

(Romans 8:15-17) 15 For YOU did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but YOU received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: "Abba, Father!" 16 The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God?s children. 17 If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together.

(Acts 24:15-16) 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. 16 In this respect, indeed, I am exercising myself continually to have a consciousness of committing no offense against God and men.

(Revelation 7:9) . . .After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. . .

    Theo,

If the point you are trying to make is that people don't have the capacity to govern their own lives, just say it. Just that.

When you start spouting scriptures and/or examples you lose ground; there will be an exception to every statement that you make.

Just state your thesis and let the discussion begin. Post your scriptures and examples as appropriate to the developing thread.

...unless you just want a fight...

I do admire your use of scripture. I wish others here would do the same. Most of the "theories" here smell like the south end of a northbound mule.

Theories these come from the watchtower. Are you saying you don't believe them and the great crowd is part of the new covenant?

God's Kingdom is the only thing that can bring us lasting peace and happiness.

I think the answers lie with our creator. I just don't believe the creator is the guy the WTBTS and most churches dream up.

I believe the creator is very well aware of the extenuating circumstances of each and every one of us, from our conception and on. True peace and happiness is a rare thing inside the organization. Even the most clear thinking, mentally balanced and successful of JWs are over burdened and pressured.

The WTBTS has taken it upon themselves to come up with an extensive set of rules and laws that go beyond scripture. Jesus came to lighten our load. He came not to make it even heavier than the law code and traditions the Jews carried. Those of us who have left are free of the hundreds of petty rules the governing body has come up with.

You mentioned birthdays. There is not one place in the Bible that says, "Do not celebrate birthdays." Only two birthdays mentioned in the Bible? Bad things happened at them? Bad things can happen anywhere. Read those accounts, they do not include a ban or strong admonition to not celebrate birthdays.

3 b-days are in the bible. Job's kids.

The watchtower is biased it has retracted all the "required" things but the system runs on inertia and peer presure so being a JW is sometimes like being in high school you have to be a letterman (pioneer) to be thought as human.
