    Hi all,

Didn't know where to post this, but I thought it might be fun. It was in Ann Landers or some such place years ago.

If you had your life to live over, say from age 16 or 18 onward, what 5 things would you do differently?

    My choices might be:

    1. Would have gone to college instead of getting married.

    2. Would not have married the person I did.

    3. Would have had fewer or no children.

    4. Would NEVER have become a Jehovah's Witness!!

    5. ??

    Any replies?

Zounds, what an interesting question. But only five?

    1. I would have never been a baptised JW.
    2. I would have not married whom/when I did.
    3. I would have been a better student, and would have pursued a Ph.D.
    4. I would have had no children.
    5. I would have seriously studied piano (really).

    1. No jw!
    2. Gone to Art School.
    3. Became a hippie (was popular then, remember?)
    4. Moved to Boulder, Colorado (where old hippies still live)
    5. Not ever even looked at my first husband.
    6. Invested in IRA's religiously since I was 18
    7. Same amount of kids - but would have started after 30 instead of 20.

Sorry - just got a *groove* goin' on......

Now that's a damned interesting question.

    1. Become spiritualy weak, instead of being so damned active.

    2. Had lots of sex with my wife before marriage, and deny it if anyone asked.

    3. Put a lot of money on Cassiaus Clay (Mohommed Ali) against Sonny Liston.

    4. Ask my nonJW father to let me light up a Camel with him and enjoy a father-son relationship.

    5. Go fishing for fish instead of doing door to door looking for sheep.

    Francoise,
Interesting list--do you play piano well?

    Waiting,
Oh! That was one I didn't think of: investing religiously. You would have made such a cute hippie!

    Larc,
Spiritually weak is good--actually synonomous with mentally healthy!!

I would have spent time with my dad and got to know him more
I wouldn't have let 'not a JW' be a reason for not dating a beautiful girl
I would have started a pension fund earlier
I would have worked harder at a career

I wouldn't swap who I'm with or the kids I've got though (well, not at the moment anyway 'cause they're being quiet)

    Good question !

Great post patio34! I enjoy your thoughtful questions!

    1. Gone to university.
    2. Persued a career.
    3. Not get baptised and leave the JWs.
    4. Not let 'not a JW' be a reason for not dating a guy
    5. Invested my money and saved for a deposit on a house.

I know there are plenty more, but you asked for just five....
