    Shunned Father asked me to post this here:

    Does anyone have electronic images from WTS publications that I can use in my presentation. My lawyer and myself are doing a presentation at the International Cult Conference June 12th. Our topic is Institutional Coercion. Any images about Armagedon would be great. Also, if you have any comments on how the WTS coerces their members, it would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.     Personally, I think that picture of Jesus on the Torture Stake from "My Book of Bible Stories" qualifies. That picture used to freak me out. You can see the pain in Jesus' face, the blood dripping from where the nails were put through his arms.

    ...sorry, I don't have a copy of it.

    You know those huge, highly detailed illustrations of hell which show all the ways the dead are tortured and burned and so forth? I was just looking at the Paradise Lost illustrations of Armageddon and it is pretty much the same thing: showing and describing (in the text) all the ways you can die at Armageddon. It's all the same thing. Armageddon is the Watchtower's equivalent of Hell. It is used in the same way to instill fear and it is used to sadistically depict the misfortune of those who do not do what the organization says.
