BTW, Corvin, did you see this thread?: Ole what's his name is at it again!

    Especially note AlanF's comment.

Watchman doesn't want his goons to know about all his past failed predictions, nor all the evidence he's left in the archives here at JW.com. His reputation is ruined if they find out. Well, on second thought maybe not, since they ARE goons ya know.

The front picture was enough - buildings in ruins, moses looking bloke

In medical terms - he's mad.

Yeah, he's a moron. Ignore him. Or better yet, live a long happy dub-free life doing whatever it is that you feel like doing. It pisses off his stripe of mind-control puritanism to no end to realize that there are millions of people doing what they like and GOD DOESN'T PAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION!

I tried reading a few of the posts, and promptly got a headache. They all sounded like the Watchtower and managed to write three or four paragraphs per post and say absolutely nothing.

bravo corvinus on the new e-watchman board....though I think you could have 'held on' for a little while longer lol

I read your posts there and others and was disgusted at the back slapping, schmarmy, 'ain't this great, there ain't no REAL apostates here', and 'this is so wonderful!', 'we'll be able to have really upbuilding (ack...puke) conversations here' .....gawd what a work of bs....control everything about the forum and we'll no doubt have the truth!

I'm curious, someone back there said ewatchman used to post here and had some failed predictions? As a newbie, I would like some examples please? Ewatchman was my first experience of anything about JWs on the net, and it blew me away, his reasonings against 1914 are great, but then the rest of it wasn't convincing, especially his idea that we should stay with the org despite everything. I would appreciate some examples of his failed predictions.

Isn't that the late Marshall Applewhite of Heavens Gate?

He and his late female companion thought they were the 2 witnesses mentioned in Revelation, the prophecy the WTS applies to itself.

It helps you see what people can be convinced to do. Of course, he filtered out the ones that would not follow him to meet the comet and they practiced literal castration, not just recommending a single life and no children.

    Marshall Applewhite.

Yeah, at least the WT showed some restraint occasionally regarding its policies. I am still a functioning member of society... hur hur hur...

The gayest thing about the board is that while they all speak out against the organization, it's lies and deceptions, they encourage all to stay in the organization and keep quiet about what they know.

This reminds me of when I was in second grade and held firm in my belief of Santa Clause, even though I quietly dismissed my acceptance that reindeer could fly.
