Boy oh boy, I laughed so hard at the title I almost wet my pants. I can see how some might have thought you were serious, but even if you had been, I laughed at how untrue it is.

Scoobs, I try hard NOT to pigeonhole people, cuz, I've finally learned to step back a bit and not take myself so seriously...........if you can do that, then, you can learn to cut some slack for others. It really does start with oneself, took me lots of money in therapy and time reading psychology books to get to this point. I got the self-deprecating humor your message was displaying right away, but, some people are still new and raw from their experiences with the Dubs. Some went thru a hell of a lot more than I ever did, so, are more torn up. Let's face it, peeps, not ALL of the Dubs were horrid, back stabbing, abusive, f**ked up people..........most of them are just horribly brain washed, and exhibit the tell tale personality traits of such ones. I know some people on this forum think I'm a real flake.........that I've left the WTS and still have my head up my a$$, because of certain things I post for topics. Don't feel alone. But, you've made a very good assessment already, and so, why am I preaching to the choir? LOL! Scoobs, you're a cool guy, and I'm glad you're here on JWD!!

I thought it was pretty funny. Most of them are only soft when they are losing an argument and turn on the hurt feelings to get you to feel like a brute. That drives me crazy. But having said that, my JW relatives are pretty sweet. Of course I know they are hoping Armageddon will come next week and destroy me in some gory way, but they're still sweet to me. It's kind of a schizy religion.

I also appreciate that since I'm "new" I must not be able to correctly assess what I read and have an open and honest opinion on it. I might as well take anything I have to say and stick it right in my bottom, right?

Scooby, I don't know you. I don't have you in a box or labelled. And just like any other post that comes along on here, when you post you open yourself up to different impressions and comments on those. I stated in my first post WHY I thought it was inappropriate and hurtful. Note that I acknowledged that you might be making a joke, or pushing buttons etc. My comment was that I *still* didn't appreciate the humor, on what can be a sensitive subject for some, possibly many that come here. And because it was in the subject it was a little more "in your face" than some of the other things that get posted. Maybe the "regulars" get you, or maybe I'm an idiot. Regardless, the end result was that you indicated that I didn't have to read it, and that's true. I stated that since it was here, I could comment on it with my opinion and I did.

You don't have to agree with my assessment, you don't even have to like it. But like you said, isn't it great to have the freedom to do so? Well, until everyone takes a stab at your character for having an opinion. Oops, I must be being uptight there again. Maybe I'll just go. Have a nice day.
