Unusual things that happen during prayers

Hey Farkel, I almost always kept my eyes open during prayers, especially the last few years, for any of the following reasons, depending on my mood at the moment:

    1) To remain steady on my feet

    2) To remain focused on the words being spoken, because with eyes closed, my mind wanders

    3) To secretly show disdain either for the one praying or for what he was saying

Prayer at the meetings was the worst part of the meetings.

Towards the end I never closed my eyes. The kids never would either, only noticeable to those who keep they're dammed eyes open. They would be looking around sometimes...

I remember one 'brother' who was a desperate desperate man in the woman department. He was on the fast track towards MS, but totally weird. One time at the service meeting he got all flustered and asked Jehover for a wife...... ROFLMAO! Everyone knew that he was totally desperate....

I mentioned on another thread about the bethel song and prayer in the satellite monday night wt study where the sound failed (but not video) and people kept singing.....and once the prayer was over even said 'amen' (they couldn't hear it what was in the prayer though - jeece!)

during another prayer a bro said a funny thing that went like this: 'thanks for the beautiful music Jehovah, even though some of us here 'could'nt carry a tune in a bucket' LOL!

I too started opening my eyes near the end....just looking round at all the 'sheep', seemingly ready for the slaughter...plus, good chance to check out the nearest 'hottie's ass when she obviously had HER eyes closed lol!
