Once when my mother (now deceased) was in the hospital, I discovered her apartment had become infested with roaches. Someone advised me to use roach traps - cardboard boxes with an odor inside to attract the roaches and get them stuck inside. I did and it worked!

Eweel!!!!! Assuming you mean the nasty critters use boric acid powder (you get it at the drugstore) and put it in a squeeze bottle, squeeze it into the cracks way back up against the wall and cupboard under all the sinks in the house as well as any other places where children and food stuffs don't come in contact with it as it's very poisonous to humans too. What it does is the adult roaches get it on their feet and take it back to the nest where the hatch-lings ingest it and the hatch-lings die. It won't kill the adults but they don't live too long anyway.

Also always and religiously ( word) keep all water sources and food cleaned up. Never leave a dirty sink or standing water as this is a source of food for them. If all else fails call a good pest control agency to come out and spray for them.

Chances are you will have to learn to live with them especially if you live in an apartment, if your neighbors have them you will too. Just keep all sources of food from them and they will go elsewhere to live, ie; the neighbors! LOL

I hate them! In NYC they are all over and it seems that it has gotten worst since buildings were not allowed to burn trash any more but to compact it. Where I live Upstate now I occansionaly will see one in the garage or kitchen but there are so many spiders in my house and praying manthis's that they dont reporduce or last long up here.
