Received a text message from Gadget: he was boarding the plane (2 hours ago).
He'll be arriving in Toronto, sometime in the noon hour/early afternoon.
It'll be 27C when he arrives, and if he's lucky, he'll get to see one helluva a 'lightning show' tonight, when the cold front rolls over and gives us a wicked wad of thunderstorms.
If things go OK, Aztec, iiz2cool and myself (perhaps a couple more) will meet-up and have supper, and then plan is, iiz2cool wants to see this little Brit get plastered.
Me too...but damnit, I gotta work. They'll probably pop-by my work, drink there and who knows where they'll go afterwards.

SIMON: the part of Canada 'in-between' is not boring flat. Get off of the TCH1 (Trans Canada Highway) and you're in for some real surprises. Canada is WAY more dynamic geographically/topographically than that. You have to have plenty of time to spare; a lifetime would never be enough.
I'm not from Toronto originally: but it's where I call home, and I bloody well LOVE IT!

Hey Gadget
You just have yourself a great time in Toronto.
Shera.. Peggy's Cove is awesome but everytime I see it now I always think of "Swiss Air flight 111" that crashed and all died . It crashed off there's somewhere. It was a sad day in Nova Scotia when that happened. But, I do know that all the families of dead loved ones are awe inspired at such a beautiful place to come and contemplate their loved ones.
