Life is what you make of it.
The second one is my favorite. With my big family (4kids) their isn't enough time to go around and remembering this phrase gives me the push I need to make every moment count with my husband and my children.
When we die, we are alone.
You can't help someone that doesn't want to change.

No one is capable of doing anything for another without some element of selfish motivation attached.
I suppose this is true...but.....if doing something nice for someone anonymously gives a person a good feeling for doing so, and that is selfish.......then that type of selfishness is a good thing. Feeling better about yourself by doing good to others is not a negative type of selfishness I don't think. I think it's being human.
As far as learning truths......I have LESS truths to believe in since I began to doubt the bible god and his supposed word. Without the two I just mentioned..........it leaves a big void to try and fill with truths.......you now just have more unanswered questions to try and figure out.

These two, plus all of scootergirls's, that pretty much covers it for me.
Wow, I don't agree with ANY of you! Here's mine:
- I am the only one in charge of my life
- People only have an effect on my life if I let them.
- I have the power to kick people I don't like out of my life
- Happiness should only be built on my own existance, not someone else's
- I can change my morals, thoughts and opinions if I don't like them.
- If I spend my life waiting for other people, I'll grow old and die.
No one is capable of doing anything for another without some element of selfish motivation attached.
You've obviously never been a mother.
Beyond that, what I've learned is:
I will die one day.
and
I want to live life now to the fullest, be fulfilled, and do as little harm as possible.
and
Who knows what happens when you die, but I know there's more to our universe than we can possibly imagine
and
I don't think our spirit dies. I don't really know what happens to it, but I think I've had some glimpses.
