Never mind, Elmer, you're too cute to really get mad at.
Ah also one rather odd writer I enjoy is named Jeff Noon. He is a somewhat new writer of fiction...good stuff, but a little hard to follow sometimes like Finnegan's Wake..

SaintSatan, I LOVE Gordon R. Dickson!!! I've read pretty much all his books! He's good!
AuntFanny, I think I lean more towards the Fantasy side sometimes.........for instance, I've read most of Anne McCaffrey's books, her Ship Who Sang series is very very cool!...........I love Patricia McKillip's The Riddle-Master of Hed trilogy is very good, The EarthSea series by Ursula K. LeGuin, Andre Norton is very good. Then there are the fantasy/historic fiction books about time travel that I get into.............for instance:
Doomsday Book by Connie Willis.......Winner of the Hugo and Nebula Awards......very very good.......a student accidently gets sent back to the time during the bubonic plague.
The Plague Tales by Ann Benson (no time travel in that, but, it's about an outbreak of the bubonic plague in 2005..........fascinating
The Forever King by Molly Cochran and Warren Murphy..........modern day King Arthur and the Grail fantasy...........
Time and Again by Jack Finney...governmental experiment with time travel from, get this, The Dakota Hotel in New York City back to Victorian New York City
And, one of my current favorites..........Diana Gabaldon..........she has a wonderful historical/time travel/romance series starting with Outlander..........so far she has 5 in this series.....and more to come.............she's world famous.

I used to be a while ago. I read your standard authors Isaac Asimov, Michael Crichton, Ray Bradbury.
Quick Story: I had an opportunity to meet Ray Bradbury several years ago, he autographed a copy of Fahrenheit 451 for me. At the time I was big in to Science Fiction and was a writing a story of my own. I brought it with me. He had me fill out a SAS envelope, and leave it with him. About a month later I received my story in the mail form him, and he had made notations all over it giving me advice.
