It is universaly understood cross is a "pagan" symbol too. Considering the majority of early christians are pagan gentiles I don't see why people are suprised.
Technically when they leave they become anti-christ.

Most christians forget that the bible was writen by Jews. The idea of the afterlife and the concept of judement day did not mature until the time of Jesus. So a big thing for them was the concept of dead actually raising and becoming mortal again. The concept of a spirit world and heaven was a novelty. Look at how heaven is a physical place. How the kindom of God comes down to earth to reside with man. This is too far from the modern concept of heaven to try to reconcile. I mean do you really think most christians think that when they die they will go to live with God on a mountain in the middle east?

Why would you presume that? There's nothing in the bible that says anything about the seal being in the shape of a cross?

Somehow, I just can't understand why some people (JWs and others) get so exercised about the cross having formerly been a pagan symbol, and subsequently becoming the symbol of Christianity. Jesus was, after all, put to death on a cross (despite what the JWs teach, the Biblical and historical evidence favors a cross, not a single stake), and in Christian theology, His death is the key to our salvation. It seems like a natural that the symbol of that event would become the symbol for the whole religion.
As far as the "pagan" associations of the cross, remember that it was pagans who put Jesus to death. Do the JWs really think that the Romans should have said to themselves, "Hey, we can't execute this guy on a cross; that's a pagan symbol - it would be unChristian to do that! Why, 2000 years from now we might stumble some Jehovah's Witnesses right out of their cult if we did that!" Ridiculous! They were pagans, and had no compunctions about using what had formerly been a pagan symbol in a political execution. It was the significance of that event that made the cross a Christian symbol.
