I won't watch it, but I'm not sure why out of synch sound would be suspicious. It's not difficult to mess up a digital to analog transfer of video and sound. What, do we think terrorists are audio-video experts now or something? It was probably just mixed down on a crappy pc using crappy software using a crappy codec. They were probably more concerned about getting it out as quickly as possible than quality of their product.

Too much inconcistancies anyway in "whole" Berg Story ... Yeah don't need to see the video ... but those who have seen it have to know that if you are beheaded alive blood spiting by sacades (just as the heart bits) and strong convulsion related to the pain ... If non ... something is wrong ... also when you get your throat cut you just can't cry

I haven't watched the video and I won't, I need my sleep. But as Noam Chomsky points out, laughing off people who ask questions as conspiracy theorists is just another way of suppressing legitimate inquiry and democratic debate.

Why is any of this important? The poor man is dead, and someone beheaded him either before or after he died. The only important thing is to try to bring justice and understand why this happen and how to prevent it in the future...good luck.

I felt like the sounds didnt match up

The sound is actually ahead of the video by a few seconds. This is simply the result of a sloppy job of converting the videotape to an mpeg format. I accidentally did the same thing myself when I first started converting my videotapes.

When doing a conversion like that you end up with a video stream and a sound stream in two different files. You then have to put the two back together and its very easy to have them out of sync.

I suspect the sync problem happened because they added the title screen at the beginning... which would cause the video to start a few seconds after the sound if they did not put an equally long delay in the sound.

You can actually tell just how long the time delay is by watching the man to the right caugh. He puts his hand up and then a few seconds later you hear him.

I don?t understand why so many people are having a hard time believing that known terrorists could have done such a horrible thing. Do people seriously believe that the US would have to fake evidence against a known and admitted terrorist???

Conspiracy or not it doesn't change the facts (only one man can make this happen, he just need to pay for it or/and play games with fanatics - and monsters paid for their vice or their ability to kill with no compassion) ... And I suspect our govs to not care telling or asking for the truth if we don't care (and moreover if they are playing games themselfs)

What really makes me feel weird here, is that they don't care being more PROFESSIONAL (So much errors in EVERYTHING ...) it would be ridiculous, it we were not talking about DEATH.

Again : he was crying or not ? (means it is a fake voice cause he couldn't be able to cry) - if he had no convulsion, no blood spitting (he was already dead) .

I watched it. It didn't bug me because I have seen all this crap in American movies, my brother-in-law was a sherrif and had lots of pix of suicides, homicides, and accident pix. Every day, this stuff is portrayed in American movies, culture, and american life. Why shoud it surprise any of you?

These people have been fighting for over 2000 years. If not with us, with each other. They behead each other, they torture each other, that's just how it is. They kill their own wives for showing their faces in public. If you care to disagree with me, look at the history of the region. The fighting has been going on for several centuries, and it's all because of religion. We shouldn't at *all* be surprised because one American was beheaded. For years, they have been beheading, torturing, and slaughtering each other over religion. They hate us Americans because we seem to back Israel. They *hate* us. Why would it seem outrageous that they would subject us to their brand of death in their own land? It isn't. We're dealing with TWO cultures here that CLASH. We are trying to bring DEMOCRACY to a land that is deluged in tradition and religion. That's not going to happen anytime soon. Democracy and Islam.. never the trains shall meet.

Don't be surprised if the US experiences a large surge of suicide bombers in teh next two years. Although our government has done a good thing by closing up our borders and making everyone accountable, that doesn't account for all the people here that are from those countries that feel that Islam and the Jihad that has been issued should be abided by... and will become suicide bombers for their religion. Remember.. we are worknig here with people that don't CARE about dying...

if I was president, I'd sure lock up all our borders, and be very careful about who I let in. I'd build a wall across the whole bottom part of the country with sensors for when people came over.. and up on the north part of our country. I'd take all that money we are spending in Iraq and Afghanistan and build those walls... and make sure none of these peole ever came in our country again. What about all those billions of dollars we are spending in Iraq? How about spending that money to find an alternative source of energy, so we don't have to realy on Middle Eastern oil? Too much time... How about spending all that money in our educational sustem, and paying out teachers better so that we can produce better students, that will join our colleges and have good ideas?

Probably because the guy who killed Nicholas was a Jordanian terrorist named Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or someone linked to him.

I didn't intend to watch the video. Now I've watched it twice. I have questions. Something is doctored...of course these are insane terrorists who are full of rage and hate for America-the personification of Satan...why wouldn't something be wrong with it?

Was Nicholas drugged? Was he involved someway with that group? Did he think he was being Martyred? Why did he look peaceful when he was about to be murdered?

I ask this not to be anti-american or to deminish the horror of the act in anyway. But, if I were about to be slaughtered in the name of war/religion/freedom/crazy middle east people? I would have definately been screaming...or crying...or begging...shouting out that I loved my family or America ...or something! He sat there, calm. His face looked almost peaceful before it happened. Not fearing death, no dread. Of course the video is such a poor quality that it leaves many things unanswered. He was passive in dying, almost as if it was his duty. Yes, I did hear gurgling...whether the audio was in sync with the video or not...I heard it. I may have noticed movement. I did not see blood dripping from the head, I did see blood spewed out of the corpse. I don't know why there is time missing on the video. I also wondered why they used such a dull instrument to do the job.

I don't intend on focusing any more attention to this subject. Both sides feel they are justified in their actions by their "God." To me, hatred and bloodshed are the opposite of peace. Many will disagree as they feel it is the only way to make peace. (like the only way for me to love you is to hate you first...or to appreciate color is to go blind? Ridiculous!)

I wouldn't want to follow either of these people's religions. They are both in-humane.
